Shabbat - HaRav Uriel Lavi
We are delighted to announce that this Shabbat, HaGaon HaRav Uriel
Lavi, Head of Rabbinical Batei Din of Tzefat and Tiveria, will be a
guest of our Kehilla.
HaRav Lavi will give the Halacha shiur after the second minyan on the
subject of "How to deal appropriately with someone suspected of immoral
behaviour".
Background:
HaRav Uriel Lavi is one of the leading dati leumi dayanim in Israel and
is a candidate for the High Rabbinical Court. He has published a number
books of responsa and many articles.
In the shiur, the Rav will deal with an issue which unfortunately is
becoming more prevalent, both on the national and local levels: how, on
a communal level, do we deal with people who are suspected of having
carried out immoral activities?
The Rav's son, Yedidya, is a member of our kehilla and it is thanks to
him that we have the honour of the Rav's presence this Shabbat.

- Communal Mishloach Manot
Kehillat Ahavat
Tzion is once again organizing its annual “themed”
community Mishloach Manot.
Each family that joins this venture will give and receive Mishloach
Manot from all other participants. Here is your chance to be part of a
fun activity AND save yourself a TON of work!
Before Purim, each participant will pick up a Mishloach Manot package
to be delivered to another participant on Purim day.
Cost will be 100 nis a family, with all profits going towards the
Simcha Hall building fund.

We are pleased to invite all post-Bar Mitzvah boys to a fascinating
Chabura focusing on the intricacies of Kriat HaTorah to be led by
Stephen Hodes in conjunction with Rav Copperman.
If you would like to lein occasionally in shul and want to improve the
quality of your reading significantly, you are welcome to join.
The Chabura will continue to meet at the shul on Motzei Shabbat from
19:45-20:45.
Preference for reading in shul will be given to those attending the
Chabura

השבת יתארח בקהילתנו הגאון הרב אוריאל לביא, שמשמש כראש בתי הדין הרבניים
טבריה וצפת.
הרב לביא יתן את השיעור בהלכה לאחר המניין השני בנושא: "כיצד ראוי לטפל
בחשוד על העריות?"
רקע:
הרב אוריאל לביא הוא אחד הדיינים המובילים בארץ מהציבור הדתי לאומי ומועמד
לכהונה בבית הדין הרבני הגדול. הוא פרסם ספרי פסקי דין ומאמרים רבים.
בשיעור יעסוק הרב באחד הנושאים שלצערנו נמצאים על סדר יומנו, גם ברמה
הארצית וגם ברמה המקומית: כיצד ראוי מבחינה ציבורית לטפל באנשים שמתעורר
לגביהם חשד שעשו מעשים כנגד המוסר?
בנו של הרב, ידידיה, הוא חבר בקהילתנו, ובזכותו אנו זוכים לביקור של הרב.
